This modern luminaire has a die cast aluminium body with a sloped profile to offer an abstract design for contemporary applications. The luminaire has an IP rating of IP65 for the optic housing and gear enclosure. The flat glass glazing prevents light pollution which also reduces sky glow. The glazing is secured to the body of the luminaire by a quarter turn captured screw. The two securing screws at the front of the luminaire, when released, reveal the gear enclosure. This fitting with its ability to house the gear in a separate compartment allows for the option of electronic control gear that runs at a lower temperature thereby extending gear life. The Sharkon luminaire has a body made from die cast LM6 aluminium with a steel frame for the flat glass glazing. The front of the luminaire hinges up to allow access to the gear compartment for maintenance. The unit is direct post fitted obviating the need for a bracket. The glazing is released by a single quarter turn captured screw thus providing easy access for re-lamping. The standard optic supplied is the Sugg Road which is mounted on a removable tray. The Sharkon is supplied, as standard, as a direct post fixing but multiple units can be applied with the addition of a bracket that allows double and quadruple units for higher mounting heights when lighting car parks and other open amenity areas.
