The Athens with its wall mounting plate, with four fixings, is manufactured from die cast aluminium providing a durable product. The product is manufacture to European standards EN60598 for compliance. The glass diffuser is secured with stainless steel screws and sealed with silicone gaskets for a high ingress protection.

The unit is provided with an E27 lampholder positioned for a Par lamp but the lampholder can also be positioned for modern compact fluorescent lamps with integral gear providing a range of lamp wattages and lamp colour temperatures. With modern high output compact fluorescent lamps a lamp RA of 82 can be achieved in a number of warm or cold lamp temperatures providing a range of illumination effects.
