The
Sydney range of fittings are contemporary road luminaires that couple the function
of a performance luminance optic with the decorative nature required for today’s
amenity lighting. The low profile dished glazing, provides a minimum of upward
light and reduces any obtrusive light spill. The durable cast aluminium body
provides strength and smooth bodylines. The acrylic opal skirt gives a stylish
appearance during the day and an illuminated feature after dark, giving this
luminaire its distinctive appeal. By applying a range of differing lamp types
and colour temperatures the effects can be tailored to suit the environment.
All
three sizes of the Sydney luminaire are IP65, this being dust and water tight,
with a durable full gasket that is set into the rim casting. Fitted with acrylic
dished glazing to improve the luminaires performance. The cast aluminium body
provides superior strength and with the four stud fixings for the bracket plate,
ensures that there is no rotation of the fitting. All the lanterns are side
mounted and a range of decorative brackets are available. The luminaires are
re-lamped by lowering the glazing and skirt assembly.
The
class 1 gear can be accessed once the hinged glazing is lowered by releasing
a quarter turn captive catch to drop the hinged optic tray to reveal the gear.
The gear tray is provided with a plug and socket for easy removal and replacement.
These lanterns can accommodate a full range of discharge lamps to encompass
mounting heights from 5m – 10m, so covering most applications. Please refer

The Sydney range of luminaires have been designed with an angled back plate
to the body; this improves the aesthetics of the luminaire and comes complete
with four studs and a glanded entry for the cable. Side mounted bracketry is
provided with a square flange to suit the appropriate lantern size studs for
secure fixing.
Photocells: - Single
and two part electronic photocells are available as standard and should be
factory fitted to maintain the ingress protection integrity.
Finish Variations:
- This luminaire comes in the Ral 9006 Aluminium white, as standard, other
colours are available but may be subject to quantity, and prices may differ.
Lantern construction:
- Cast aluminium body with a recess for the sealing gasket and robust hinges
provided for the glazing. The four stud fixings for the bracket provides superior
strength.
