The Spelthorne is a decorative post top luminaire which has a die cast aluminium base section with a sloped structured glazing profile and a spun, aluminium, canopy resulting in a contemporary design. The luminaire has an IP rating of IP65. The structured glazing minimises glare and smoothes the light output distribution and is ideal for Part Three lighting applications where a low minimum point is an advantage. The Spelthorne has two optic variations; a specular optic, which utilises a horizontal lamp and gives a road biased distribution, this option will utilise a wide variety of discharge lamps including dual lamp options and secondly the louvre, or refractor, with optional clear glazing for symmetric distributions for decorative and amenity lighting.

The Spelthorne Luminaire has a post top casting made from die cast aluminium with socket-head set screws for securing to a 76mm column top. The top canopy is secured with a single decorative finial that when released enables the spun canopy to be removed exposing the gear and optic tray thus providing access for relamping. The lantern is supplied as standard as a post top luminaire and will encompass a variety of mounting heights and lamp wattages. The horizontal optic is also capable of carrying multiple lamps for switched dimming or combination lamp types for improved colour, the optics are supplied mounted on a removable tray.

All gear is class I wired and a full range of discharge gear can be accommodated which is secured to the optic bracket for easy removal and maintenance. Photocells are fitted into the canopy of the luminaire; single and two-piece electronic cells are available as standard.

The Spelthorne fitting is designed to be a post top luminaire with a spigot entry of 76mm. This covers mounting heights from 4m to 6m and can also be fitted to wall brackets if required.

Photocells - Single and two part electronic photocells are available as standard and should be factory fitted to maintain the ingress rating of the fitting.

Finish variations - The luminaire canopy and base casting are supplied in Black Ral 9005. Other colours are available but may be subject to quantity, and prices may differ.

Luminaire construction - Cast aluminium spigot entry with recesses for sealing gaskets for the glazing. The luminaire is secured to the column by means of socket set screws to ensure adjustment and security to the column top.
